Terms of Service

Effective 14 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Hala Hub. They say what we do, what you can expect, what we are responsible for and what we are not. Using the app means accepting them.

Like our privacy policy, this is written against what the platform actually does. Where a part of it is not finished, it says so rather than describing something that does not exist yet.

What Hala Hub is — and is not

Hala Hub connects you with other people and businesses: drivers, restaurants and shops, home-services professionals, clinics, rental companies, and other people buying and selling. We build and run the place where you find each other.

For almost everything on the platform, your agreement is with the person or business serving you, not with us. The driver drives; the restaurant cooks; the seller sells. We are responsible for the platform working properly and for how we handle your information. We are not the transport company, the restaurant, the clinic or the seller.

Where that distinction changes what you should expect, the section below says so plainly.

Your account

  • You register with your name, your mobile number and a password. Keep the password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
  • One account per person. Do not register on somebody else's behalf without their knowledge.
  • You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live. If you are under 18, use Hala Hub only with a parent or guardian's permission and supervision.
  • Give accurate information. A false name or somebody else's number breaks the trust the whole platform runs on, and is grounds for suspension.
  • Tell us if you think somebody else has your account. Changing your password signs out every device immediately.

Rides

  • A fare shown before you book is an estimate based on the route. The fare is fixed when you book, and what you agreed is what you pay.
  • Your agreement for the journey is with the driver. Drivers are independent and are not employed by Hala Hub.
  • You can cancel a ride in the app. There is no cancellation fee.
  • Your driver asks for a four-digit PIN before starting. It exists so you get into the right car — do not share it before the driver arrives.
  • During the pilot, when no real driver is available, a ride may be handled by a demonstration account rather than a person. Where that happens it is a test of the system, not a service we are charging you for.

Food, shops and deliveries

  • Your order is with the restaurant or shop. They set the menu, the prices and what is in stock; they are responsible for the food and for preparing it safely.
  • A restaurant can refuse or cancel an order — usually because something is unavailable or they have closed. If you paid from your wallet, the charge is reversed automatically.
  • Delivery times shown are estimates, not promises.
  • If something is wrong with an order, tell us through the Help Center and we will take it up with the merchant.

Home services

  • You describe the job, professionals respond, and you choose one. The agreement for the work is between you and that professional.
  • Prices quoted in the app are the professional's, not ours. Agree the scope before work starts.
  • Professionals on the platform are reviewed before being approved, and can be suspended. That is a check, not a guarantee of the quality of any particular job.

Healthcare

Hala Hub lets you find a clinic or doctor and book an appointment. That is all it does.

  • Consultation fees are shown for information and are paid at the clinic. Hala Hub never charges you for medical care and never handles payment for it.
  • Nothing in the app is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a substitute for seeing a professional.
  • In an emergency, contact emergency services directly. Do not use the app to seek urgent care.
  • The clinic is responsible for the care it provides. Booking through us does not make us a party to your treatment.

Marketplace, cars and jobs

These are classifieds. People post, other people respond, and the two of them deal with each other directly.

  • There is no payment, no escrow and no order process behind a marketplace listing. If you buy something, you are arranging it privately with the seller, and Hala Hub is not holding your money or guaranteeing the deal.
  • We do not inspect items, verify ownership, or confirm that a car is what its listing says. Verified badges on a showroom mean we checked that business exists, not that we checked that vehicle.
  • Meet in a public place, inspect before you pay, and be cautious of anyone who will not meet.
  • Job posts are not vetted by us. No legitimate employer asks you to pay to apply, to pay for training, or to send money for equipment. If one does, report it.
  • Listings are published immediately and reviewed afterwards. Anything that breaks the rules below is removed when we find it or when it is reported.

Rentals

  • A rental agreement is with the rental company, and their own conditions — deposit, fuel, mileage, insurance, damage — apply on top of these terms.
  • You must hold a valid licence for the vehicle and meet the company's requirements.

Money

  • Prices are in Syrian pounds unless stated otherwise.
  • Hala Wallet is a balance you can spend inside the app. It is not a bank account, it earns no interest, and it is not insured.
  • There is no way to withdraw your wallet balance. Money in the wallet can be spent on the platform or refunded to the wallet — it cannot be paid back out to you. Only add what you intend to spend here.
  • During the pilot, wallet top-ups are simulated. No real payment is taken, no card or bank details are collected, and a pilot balance does not represent money you have paid us.
  • Cash rides and orders are settled directly with the driver or the courier.
  • Refunds go back to the wallet the payment came from, for what was actually charged.
  • Promo codes have their own conditions, can be limited or withdrawn, and have no cash value.
  • Tips are voluntary, go to the driver, and are not refundable once given.

What you post

  • Your content stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it where it belongs — a listing on the board, a review on a profile, a message to the person you sent it to.
  • Only post what you have the right to post. Do not use somebody else's photos or text.
  • All text is screened automatically and can be reviewed by our team. Content that breaks the rules is removed, and repeated breaches end the account.
  • You can delete your own listings, job posts and saved addresses at any time.

Things you may not do

  • Sell or advertise anything illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or dangerous — including weapons, drugs, and medicines sold outside a pharmacy.
  • Post listings for things you do not have, prices you will not honour, or jobs that do not exist.
  • Harass, threaten, defraud or abuse anyone — a driver, a merchant, a buyer, a support agent or another user.
  • Manipulate ratings: reviewing yourself, trading reviews, or pressuring somebody to change one.
  • Abuse promotions, referrals or the wallet, including creating accounts to claim a reward more than once.
  • Interfere with the platform: scraping it, probing it, automating it, or working around limits and blocks.
  • Use somebody else's account, or let somebody else use yours.

Ratings and reviews

  • Rate honestly, from your own experience. A rating affects somebody's livelihood.
  • Reviews are moderated. A review can be removed if it is abusive, false, or not about the service.
  • Names are shortened on public review pages.
  • Partners whose ratings fall are warned first and given a target to meet. Suspension is a decision a person takes, with a written reason, never something automatic.

Availability, and the fact that this is a pilot

  • Hala Hub is running a limited pilot. Features can change, appear or be withdrawn while we learn what works.
  • We do not promise the service will always be available or uninterrupted. Maps, routing, messaging and notifications all depend on networks and services outside our control.
  • Some parts described in the app are not fully live yet, and we say so where you meet them: wallet top-ups are simulated, advertisements shown during the pilot are examples rather than real offers, and Academy certificates record that you finished a free course — they are not an accredited qualification.

Suspension and ending your account

  • You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. It asks for your password, and is refused only while you have a ride or order in progress or a balance left in your wallet — finish or spend those first.
  • We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to. Where it is fair to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
  • Records of completed transactions are kept after deletion in an anonymised form, because a ride or an order is also the other party's record. Our privacy policy explains this.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for running the platform with reasonable care, for the accuracy of what we tell you about our own service, and for handling your information as our privacy policy describes.

We are not responsible for the acts of the people and businesses you deal with through Hala Hub — how somebody drives, cooks, works, or whether a private seller is honest. Where the law makes us responsible for something, these terms do not take that away.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in connection with it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

If something goes wrong

  • Start with the Help Center in the app. Most problems — a wrong order, a driver who did not arrive, a charge you do not recognise — are resolved there fastest, and every request is tracked.
  • If you are reporting somebody's behaviour, say so plainly. We read complaints about harassment in full; nothing is filtered out of them.
  • If we cannot agree, these terms are governed by the laws of the Syrian Arab Republic and disputes go to the competent Syrian courts.

Changes to these terms

We will update this page when the terms change and move the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will make it visible in the app rather than relying on you to re-read this page. Continuing to use Hala Hub after a change means accepting it.
